I am trying to contact FRC with the view of having nets & fielding practice over the next two Sundays, starting around 5pm.

Post 28: Posted by Richard Page on Wednesday, Apr 15, 2009 at 13:52

I believe that's what we said as the school will be closed. we were going to do some fielding practice followed by a pint in the bar after

What's the plan Stan?

Post 26: Posted by Andy Redman on Wednesday, Apr 15, 2009 at 11:54

Any news on nets for Sunday? Are we at Footscray?

Post 25: Posted by Peter Swain on Monday, Mar 30, 2009 at 14:16

Sorry I didn't make it to nets last night. I hope all went well. I was away at rugby with Daniel in Upminster where in true Essex style they won the most blingtastic cup and medals which would be right at home on Mr T.

Sorry chaps ~ I won't be at nets on Sunday (22nd) ~ we have a house full of family as it's Mothering Sunday .... and I have an HMI visit at school to look forward to!! Have fun.

Post 23: Posted by Will Bisley on Friday, Mar 06, 2009 at 11:41

Afraid it looks like I'm going to struggle to make nets this week (8th).

Post 22: Posted by Derek Seeds on Tuesday, Feb 10, 2009 at 13:28

As from Sunday 15th Feb,nets will be from 5 - 6pm.

Post 21: Posted by Will Bisley on Sunday, Feb 08, 2009 at 09:08

Not sure if I'll be able to make it this evening, as I have a chest infection.

Post 20: Posted by Colin Wouldham on Friday, Jan 30, 2009 at 14:23

Well there's always the chance of a run in that situation, Splinters. Our old 'keeper, Robin Ackerley, had a shy at the stumps at least once in every game he kept in, and I don't recall ever seeing him hit the timbers. So you can see why Pete thought there was a run there.

Your fault, clearly.

Post 19: Posted by Will Bisley on Friday, Jan 30, 2009 at 14:10

Fantastic!! There is no comment I can make to come back to that one!! But I'm going to try anyway... Perhaps try calling for a run when the wicket keeper isn't already holding the ball next time!!!

Post 18: Posted by Richard Page on Thursday, Jan 29, 2009 at 17:05

ha ha - brilliant comment Pete - come on Will - you have to come back on that!!

Post 17: Posted by Peter Swain on Thursday, Jan 29, 2009 at 13:04

Hope the injury isn't to bad Andy.

12km Will? 18m seemed too far at Hartley!

Post 16: Posted by Will Bisley on Wednesday, Jan 28, 2009 at 17:10

Sorry Andy, but if you insist on getting your foot in the way of the one full delivery I bowl all session then these things are going to happen!

If its any consolation, I haven't been for a run today as I have a hangover... However I did run 12k on Monday to try and shake the aches out from Sunday's exertions.

Seriously though, am sorry to hear its still hurting, and I really hope it gets better very quickly.

Post 15: Posted by Andy Redman on Tuesday, Jan 27, 2009 at 18:49

My attendance next week is now in some doubt as my foot has swollen up big time after being hit by a good length ball from Splinters!! Obviously need further coaching from Pete "The Guru" Fisher.
I am now a very grumpy person (yes, more than usual) as I can't get out for a run!!

Post 14: Posted by Derek Seeds on Monday, Jan 26, 2009 at 17:44

Ray said yesterday that nets next week will be at the same time 4pm - 6pm.

Post 13: Posted by Peter Swain on Friday, Jan 23, 2009 at 13:14

I am still in such poor shape that I will need another 2 weeks to recover! See you on 8th Feb if I am not completely beaten up at the rugby course over the next 2 Sundays. Enjoy nets, and thanks to Richard for looking after things in my absence.

Yep! I'm still walking like Tin Man

Post 11: Posted by Will Bisley on Monday, Jan 19, 2009 at 15:03

Is anyone else suffering after yesterday? I nearly couldn't get out of bed this morning as my back was so stiff!! - Must do more of a warm down next time!!

Post 10: Posted by Will Bisley on Friday, Jan 16, 2009 at 23:14

Carol's still in South Africa, so might struggle to make it!!

Happy New Year everyone, the cricket season is only a few months away, so it is time to start net practice. Ray is kindly letting us use the gym at his school for the last two Sundays in January (18th and 25th) for two hours (4pm -6pm). Look forward to seeing you all there.
