Sorry Derek... Governors meeting so won't be home til 9ish.
By the way, averages are now up to date and I would be grateful if you could all cast an eye over your individual figures and let me know of any anomalies.... there are bound to be some!!

Post 59: Posted by Derek Seeds on Monday, Jun 13, 2011 at 14:35

Gentlemen,
Just a note to confirm that nets will start at 7-30pm this coming Wednesday.

Post 58: Posted by Will Bisley on Thursday, May 05, 2011 at 16:50

That would make more sense...

Post 57: Posted by Colin Wouldham on Thursday, May 05, 2011 at 14:40

I read it as quarter past 12?

Post 56: Posted by Will Bisley on Thursday, May 05, 2011 at 14:02

12 - 15? How do you start the game at 13.30 with nets running until 15? Confused.com

Post 55: Posted by Derek Seeds on Thursday, May 05, 2011 at 07:16

Nets this coming Friday have now been moved to Sunday starting at 12 - 15 pm.

Nets this coming friday starting at 6-15.

Post 43: Posted by Peter Swain on Monday, Aug 10, 2009 at 12:14

Good to hear from you Tonker, it will be good to catch up. Not so sure you will still want to talk about the Ashes though. Looks like some other Poms might have forgotten how to play cricket as well! I am trying to negotiate a trip to nets this Friday if anyone else is going?

Post 42: Posted by Colin Wouldham on Monday, Jul 27, 2009 at 20:04

Welcome back to Blighty, Tonker! Nets are something of a "fluid" arrangement (and I'm not referring to the bar afterwards...) They take place at our new Home ground, Footscray Rugby Club (see "Location" link on the left), often on a Friday night. Keep checking this thread for any takers this week.

For the record, I'm NOT available this Friday, since I am informed that it is my tenth wedding anniversary on said evening. I don't fancy my chances of cancelling in favour of a net session, even if it does mean catching up with a globetrotting Eltham players of years gone by!

Post 41: Posted by Phil Thompson on Monday, Jul 27, 2009 at 16:14

Hi all. It has been a while... I have managed a six month stint working in California and then travelled round the world for a year visiting Mongolia, Cambodia and Argentina - amongst many other places. So I have plenty of tales to tell for the small price of a throat soothing drink :-)
I have however forgotten how to play cricket (many would say this happened before I met you lot) so the idea of catching up for some nets appeals. so for those out of the loop, give me the run down... when, where, basic logistics etc. Hope you are all well and giving Pete the appropriate amount of Ashes Aussie grief :-)
Phil

Post 40: Posted by Will Bisley on Friday, Jul 24, 2009 at 12:53

I am aiming for about 6 - 6.15pm

Post 39: Posted by Colin Wouldham on Friday, Jul 24, 2009 at 12:15

What sort of time are you there, Will? I can get there for pretty much any time between 5.30 and 7 depending on who will be arriving.

Post 38: Posted by Will Bisley on Friday, Jul 24, 2009 at 08:55

I'll definitely be there this evening. Trying to get a friend to come along as well.

Post 37: Posted by Peter Swain on Wednesday, Jul 22, 2009 at 12:03

I will try and get there this week to allow you all a bit of extra Aussie bashing! Might even bring my gloating pommie boys!

Post 36: Posted by Asjad Mir on Tuesday, Jul 21, 2009 at 15:52

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it for nets this week.

Post 35: Posted by Colin Wouldham on Tuesday, Jul 21, 2009 at 15:33

Post 32: Posted by Derek Seeds on Tuesday, Jul 21, 2009 at 11:26

Anyone for nets this week? Would thursday evening be more convenient instead of friday, again starting around 6- 30pm.

Post 31: Posted by Colin Wouldham on Friday, Jul 17, 2009 at 14:59

You swines! I got into work early today so I could get to nets since a few were going. Oh well, I guess there's no point me trekking all the way back to Maidstone and then all the way to FRC if only a couple of people will be there.

Pah!

Post 30: Posted by Will Bisley on Friday, Jul 17, 2009 at 14:29

Afraid I actually wont be able to make it this evening. Apologies for the late notice.

Post 29: Posted by Matthew Bulpitt on Friday, Jul 17, 2009 at 09:50

Events are overtaking me!!! I'm not going to be able to make it tonight!!!

See you tomorrow M

Post 28: Posted by Andy Redman on Wednesday, Jul 15, 2009 at 15:27

I won't be there as I have a prior engagement watching my daughter in her dance show at the Stag in Sevenoaks! I have been going to these shows for the past 18ish years and this is the last one as both girls are now too old! (As is their father...before anyone else says anything!)
See you all on Saturday.

Post 27: Posted by Peter Swain on Wednesday, Jul 15, 2009 at 12:51

I will also try to get there for around 7pm and will probably bring Elliott if he is up for it. Daniel will be busy avoiding the dance floor at his school leavers prom!

Post 26: Posted by Colin Wouldham on Wednesday, Jul 15, 2009 at 11:14

I'll be aiming to arrive not too long before 7pm if people will still be there?

Post 25: Posted by Matthew Bulpitt on Monday, Jul 13, 2009 at 19:54

I'm hoping to be at nets this Friday too!!!!

Post 22: Posted by Asjad Mir on Wednesday, Jul 08, 2009 at 09:28

I would not be able to make it for nets this week as I have a friend and his wife visiting (from Dubai) and we have agreed to be sightseeing with them on Friday.

Post 21: Posted by Colin Wouldham on Wednesday, Jul 08, 2009 at 08:06

Me neither I'm afraid, babysitting duties!

Post 13: Posted by Peter Swain on Friday, Jul 03, 2009 at 09:38

I am running the family taxi service this evening, but might try and pop in for a bit after delivering scouts to Downe, probably not until 7 or after.

Post 12: Posted by Will Bisley on Friday, Jul 03, 2009 at 09:36

I'm going this evening, but just for an hour (6 - 7).

Post 5: Posted by Andy Redman on Wednesday, Jun 17, 2009 at 05:15

Apologies from me as well ~ unfortunately, work commitments make mid week cricket an impossibility. Enjoy the session and I hope to pop down for a beer with you on Saturday.

Post 4: Posted by Will Bisley on Tuesday, Jun 16, 2009 at 12:11

Hi, afraid I can't make the next couple of weeks, will hope to attend after that, however probably will only be able to come every other week, or something like that.

Post 3: Posted by Richard Page on Tuesday, Jun 16, 2009 at 11:34

Hi Derek, thanks for organising the nets once again. I am afraid the mid week nets will prove tricky for me this year, but will endeavour to get there when I can

Post 2: Posted by Richard Webber on Monday, Jun 15, 2009 at 20:25

Il b there but not sure how much I will be able to do as my leg is quite bad following the game yesterday. See you all there anyhow

Nets will starting up again on Tuesday 16th June from 6pm until 8pm.
